Important updates for 2024

2024 is bringing a lot of new things than any other new year I have experienced. I am excited for all of the new things coming in my personal and professional life. These new changes bring about a few updates for Sacred Oasis Massage, please take the time to read the following carefully and feel welcome to reach out with any questions!

Incase you missed it, my husband and I are expecting our first baby in April of this year! The following changes are a result of our growing family and the needs we have during this season of our lives. Your kindness and understanding is appreciated as we enter this precious journey of parenthood and growth for our little family.

If you have given a gift card within the last 3 years and think the recipient possibly has not used it yet please pass in this information to them. I am asking all clients with gift cards to use them before my maternity leave starts. At the moment I plan to start my maternity leave on 3/31/2024 unless my healthcare team and I decided another date is necessary for baby and I to be our healthiest. The most up to date information regarding my maternity date will be posted on Instagram and Facebook as that is where the majority of my clients are. If you do not have social media feel free to check in with my via text message at 214-233-5670. I will respond to you as soon as I am able.

Being that I am asking clients to use gift cards before my maternity leave I have turned off that feature on my website. You can still gift a session to someone as a gift by putting your card on file for their appointment. For detailed instructions on how to do this please text me at 214-233-5670 so I can make notes in the appointment.

If you have an event voucher please keep in mind they must be redeemed by the expiration date written on them. In order to redeem an event voucher you must contact me before booking your appointment for booking instructions. Event vouchers can not be redeemed without contacting me prior to booking the appointment. Event vouchers past the expiration date are considered invalid. If your voucher does not have a written expiration date written on it please reach out to me via email at alexandria@sacredoasismassage.com and include pictures of the front and back of your voucher, including the event where you received it and date of event.

At the moment January 2024 is completely booked! The most up to date and accurate availability will always be visible 24/7 on my booking website, sacredoasismassage.glossgenius.com . Please utilize my waitlist feature on the website if you would like to be the first to know about any cancellations and last minute openings I have between now and my maternity leave. I always recommend that you not only add yourself to the waitlist, but also book my next opening that works for your schedule. That way if there is not a cancellation you still will have an upcoming appointment on the books. Please be as specific as possible with your availability when adding yourself to the waitlist so I can better understand what dates, time of day and days of the week work best for you.

As we get closer to my due date I will be adjusting my work schedule accordingly by lowering the days I work as well as how many hours each day as my health care team and I decide is best. Above all I will be listening to what my body needs during this beautiful time of growth and appreciate your kindness and understanding when I need to make adjustments.

I have always loved having a network of other massage therapist whom like myself are independent business owners. As I scale down my schedule and work load I am more than happy to help you find another massage therapist to help you along your health and wellness journey. Everyone I recommend I have personally received massage from and trust with my health, as well as yours. I understand it can be a little intimidating going to see a new therapist after a long time of seeing the same person, but want you all to keep up with your wellness goals in my absence. My biggest priority is helping you all be the best version of yourself so you can live your life to the fullest. I plan to take a longer maternity leave than is standard in America for several reasons (that’s a soap box I could talk about all day!) . I will be very inactive on my business social media and website during this time to be present with my family and new baby. You are welcome to email me at alexandria@sacredoasismassage.com if need be, but please understand that my response may take a while as I will not be checking that inbox as regularly as usual. Thank you for allowing me to unplug from my business and be fully present with my family during this precious time in our lives.

When I am ready to return from my leave I will post details on my social media accounts first, followed by a post here on my website and email to all clients. My social media handle on all websites is Sacred Oasis Massage. I anticipate returning on a part time schedule as allowed by my childcare arrangements. Appointments will be available to existing clients first, then new clients if there are still openings.

As mentioned previously, my biggest goal as a massage therapist is to be part of your health and wellness journey and help you be the best version of yourself. While I am on maternity leave I highly suggest and request that you see one of my peers for massages to keep up with the progress you have made with me. Please don’t wait to get a massage until I return from leave 😉 ! I value your support, but also firmly believe in community over competition. It makes me so happy to know that I have several skilled and passionate massage therapist to entrust you all too while I am away. Please utlilize them! I hope you get to experience their unique massage styles and see how you can benefit from them.

I have personally received massages from everyone I recommend, I do not trust just anyone for my massages, and understand many of you feel the same way. Each therapist is passionate, educated, skilled, and a safe place for your health and wellness journey to continue until I come back from my leave.

I know have all of my retail merchandise available at the studio! As we make room for our precious baby to arrive we have had to repurpose my home office, which means everything in there needed to go somewhere else! I greatly appreciate you keeping Sacred Oasis Massage in mind when you need a gift for any occasion this year.

I still have a limited amount of Luxury Spa Robes, Sonoma Lavender Neck Wraps and custom curated gift baskets as well as some general merchandise you’re accustomed to finding in the studio.

If you’re running low on something, now is a great time to stock up and prepare for Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Birthdays and Anniversaries in advance so they don’t sneak up on you! It is a huge relief for me as a business owner to see all of these items find new homes before my leave starts, thanks for helping me make space for our baby <3 .

Last but not least, thank you so much for your support during this time of transition for my family and I. For this baby we have prayed and we are so excited for her arrival in April! Becoming a family is quite a transition and we are looking forward to growing during this new season of our lives. We appreciate how much you have supported my dream job since opening in 2020, man what a journey this has been! I can’t wait to come back to you all once we’ve adjusted to family life and introduce the new FEMM classes to you all in addition to returning to massage.

For all of you still praying for your turn to become parents, my heart goes out to you and your journey, you are not alone, you are covered in love and prayer. While the waiting is hard, it is a unique journey for every family and will make you stronger together. Take time to rest, be patient with yourself and your body, give yourself grace abundantly.
